Each season the VWMS presents a series of ten concerts featuring outstanding local musicians who have established, or are working towards, a professional career in music.

Unless otherwise noted, all regular concerts are held at the Unitarian Church, 949 West 49th Avenue at Oak, at 11:00 a.m. Light refreshments are served following each recital. Click here to view a map.

The VWMS Main Series Concerts are open to the public, and tickets may be purchased at the door. However, membership in the Society offers much more, including admission to all ten concerts free of charge, as well as regular updates on topics of interest to classical music lovers through our monthly newsletters. Members are also notified of all special events hosted by VWMS, providing additional occasions to meet one another socially.

Scholarships and Bursaries

A Scholarship Competition is held annually, rotating between piano, orchestral instruments, and voice. The 2011 Scholarship Competition in Piano will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2011. Details will be available in the Fall.
